Settling in

Week 1 has gone by in a blink! Obviously, Erik and I are tired and sometimes the days have seemed a little long, but at the same time we can't believe that Eve has only been with us for one week...we just can't imagine life without her here. (Funny...I think I remember saying something similar after Iris was born.)

We've been settling in and enjoying a few days of Erik being home on paternity leave. Our house has been filled with lots of smooches, lots of giggles, lots of baby poop, and lots of yawns. Iris has been amazing with the arrival of Eve, and while I'm still sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop, she hasn't shown any signs of jealously or resentment or regression at all. Juggling both of them has it's challenges at moments (like when nursing), but lucky for us, Iris has so far been very easily distracted. I think she gets that from Daddy. :)
