Miss Eve Elisabeth Vanderlip.
Born 9/29 at 1:23 am, weighing a WHOPPING 8 pounds 7 ounces. Oh, and she's perfect. :)
We were induced this week on Tuesday because of my dislocated SI joint and I am still amazed to say that even with a very natural induction (yea!! no pitocin!!) the labor/delivery was STILL about 17 hours shorter than Sprout's birth. Can't complain about that!
We're all home now and doing just fine - adjusting to our new lives and being flooded with memories. Iris is making the transition to "big sisterhood" wonderfully. Alternating between kisses and hugs, and total ignorance that Eve is even in the house. I think that's really the best that we could hope for right now! My hip is working on it's "realignment" but I'm already able to rotate my joint and hobble around much more than I was before delivery, so I think we're on the right track. It's going to be a slow road I fear, but at least I've seen some improvement.
Here are some pictures of our sweet new addition. Like Iris, she's all cheeks. Unlike Iris, she has dark hair. :)

Well, had been waiting for word of your new little one as I knew the time was approaching. If Heidi and Preston knew, they forgot to tell us. Congratulations to all!!! I imagine that Nancy and Mack will not be sitting beside us at the Jenks game tonight but if they are we'll celebrate together. Glad to hear all went well.
What a family! Bethie -- you are one very beautiful and tough Mom. Eve is stunning, so is Iris. Who's that knucklehead hanging around? Must be the father -- hey, you did good too kiddo! Can't wait to see you all in a couple of weeks. Love, Opa & Nana (Erik's folks)
What wonderful keepsakes these pictures are. I can't possibly pick a favorite, so I'll just say "I love Eve!" And since Mommy is pretty busy right now, it's been my treat to play more with Iris. Poppy & I will miss you all when we go back home! Love to all - Gran
