So this past weekend was my first weekend away from Iris EVER, and Erik's first solo flight with Iris EVER. Big stuff!!! I went to Chicago to celebrate my best friend Kimmy's 30th birthday, and Erik invited Unkle Matt to Iowa City to play "two men and a baby".
All went really well! I had a BLAST, and Erik/Matt/Iris seemed to do the same. They apparently made a part of a "rap"album (yep...) and taught Iris the keyboard. I'm not sure what else they all did, but I do know that they took Iris to Buffalo Wild Wings where she was apparently a "chick magnet" and just celebrated a "no mom in town" weekend - kept her up late, fed her Fruit Loops, etc. Oh well, she's no worse for the wear!
And, I'm sure as many of you heard and saw on the news, we had our first official blizzard of the season last night/this morning! I think we totaled about 8 inches of snow, and here are some pics trying to clean off the driveway about 6:00 this morning - with it STILL coming down! :)
