So I've gotten a little bit of flak for not posting lately, which at least tells me that people are still looking at the blog! :)
We had a great Turkey Day, but it's been a bit hectic. Iris had her first real "sickness" - a pretty bad ear infection -the Monday before Thanksgiving. Poor little thing was a champ through it all, but it still made for a pretty tiring couple of days before the holiday. And of course, because we're so lucky, Erik was on call at the hospital for 36 hours of the fun.
The V'Lip Sr.'s and Baba arrived Wednesday to celebrate Turkey with us, and while Iris wasn't quite herself we did have a great rest of the week. Check out the hat that Baba made for her! And Sprout didn't make it awake to turkey time so I don't have pictures of her devouring a drumstick...sorry! But at least we have a cute picture of her enjoying her Dutch heritage from a day trip that we took to Pella, Iowa. :)
The BIG NEWS is that Iris is officially crawling like a real baby! It's been entertaining to say the least to watch her go from rolling, to rocking, to elephant walking to shaky proper crawling. She's been fairly mobile for a few months but now this kid is EVERYWHERE. I think we're equal parts excited and scared.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Turkey Day!!!!!!!

From the looks of that crawl, she is not taking after her Dad by being a leftie! Glad to hear Thanksgiving was great - I hear good reports from all. See you in just a few weeks!
