It's official. Iris "Cinderella" Vanderlip is 3 years old. Holy. Cow.
We had a wonderful birthday week, full of all kinds of celebration. We started on Thursday with a birthday party at her school. Erik took off work early and we took a cake, hat, favors et al to school for a celebration with all of her friends. It was awesome! Saturday was her actual birthday and we had a family party at home with Nana and Opa. LOTS of presents and LOTS of cake! Iris continued the celebration of "3 year-old-hood" by starting ballet classes on Sunday. (You have to be 3 to participate...we barely made it!) She LOVED it. Couldn't wait to put on her ballet shoes and start dancing, and I don't think she even noticed when I left the room. We're so proud of her! She seems so much older all of a sudden....*sniff*....it's a good thing for me that she still wants to cuddle with her Mama!

There's nothing quite like being 3 - unless it's opening presents, eating cake and dancing! I"m sure Eve got in on some of that action, too. She will always have a wonderful First of Spring birthday.
