So Erik and I just got back this past weekend from a WEEK LONG vacation to Lake Okoboji. That's right folks... A WEEK LONG VACATION!!!! It was our very first ever "family vacation" where it was just the three of us, and we had an amazing time. Playing in the pool, at the water park, at the amusement park, at the lake, on a boat, in the condo.....phew! Lots of playing! And lots of napping, reading and lazy mornings too. It was purrrfect. So much so, that when it came time to leave we decided we didn't want to, and ended up getting a hotel suite for just one more night. :) Here are just a few pics from our amazing, and much needed, trip.
AND, for those of you that are keeping count, we are T-6 weeks (45 days??!?!?!) from meeting Guido. Give or take of course. There's a lot of baby in this belly, and I'm all of a sudden finding myself thinking through things like trips up and down the stairs...making sure I have everything I could need so that I won't have to make the trip again in 5 minutes. And Sprout and I did a big walk/park/splash pad outing this morning...and I'm a little embarrassed to say that I think the hill that we live on has gotten steeper since we left on our trip. BUT. Other than that, I'm feeling good and Erik and I can't wait to meet this new little bundle!!!
Should we start a poll on guesses for gender??

I love it! So cute and so fun. I have a feeling that while this may be the first of the Vanderlip family vacations with "just the three of you" it may also be the last -- since next time there will be a fourth in tow! Love you guys, love the pictures. I am glad you guys had such a great week.
