Weighing in at a whopping 14 pounds 12 ounces, Iris is a heavyweight champ! We've been busy lately it seems, but have still managed to take some pretty gosh darn cute photos. I think it's weird to keep counting her age in weeks, so from now while I'll still try to post weekly, I think I'm just going to stop with the counting. :)
Iris is now a cereal aficionado (I bet your surprised that she likes to eat) and is perhaps beginning the early stages of teething. Everything goes straight into her mouth which I think is just part of being 4 months old, but she seems to be having some pain and other symptoms with it and both Daycare and the doctor think it's "the beginning". Awesome. We now have an array of chew toys for the baby as well as for the dogs, and are just trying to not get them too mixed up.
Other than that, we're just enjoying the fabulous weather and enjoying having time with Daddy on the weekends. (Erik is on an OB rotation in Moline and stays there during the week).
Happy summer to all!

Teething is not my favorite thing, so hopefully it goes by fast. I know when Sara got her first 2 little teeth I was sad and felt like I would miss that gummy smile, but now her teeth are so cute. More are coming and it makes for some restless nights, but we keep the Motrin close by. Hopefully Iris is a good teether for you. She looks so cute!
Oh and by the way... what are her pants doing INSIDE her diaper?
Okay, so I've gotten multiple emails about Iris's rainbow legs. :) They are NOT pants, they are leg warmers, just hiked all the way up. Soft, fluffy and FABULOUS!
I love the little boy in a tutu picture. Better keep up the ribbons with those bruiser cheeks! If you run all the dogs' chew toys through the dishwasher - why worry?
